HomePageWelcome to the wifight wiki, the wifight knowledge base that anyone can edit.![]() Play multiplayer online games on your TreoWhat is wifight?wifight is a turn-based multiplayer online game console designed for handheld PalmOS 5 devices, in particular the Treo smartphones (600, 650, 680, 700p, 755p). Games are turn-based. You can have multiple games going simultaneously. You can review a game's history and make your move even when offline. Once you go online your move is submitted automatically, and any moves your opponents have made will automatically download. What games are supported?Right now, Chess, Checkers, Dots and Boxes and Tic-Tac-Toe, with more to come. Who's making wifight? It is currently under development by Brennan Underwood. That's me. Hi. I started serious development of wifight back in November of 2005, but I've been thinking about creating something like this my whole life. (Of course, when I was 10, I thought in terms of hardware with blinking LEDs and such built into Radio Shack project boxes. What can I say? It was the 80s. And I was 10.) Daniel Green helped with the website; in the 80s, he was already looking forward to August 27, 1991. How can I try wifight?Just point your Treo's web browser to get.wifight.com. Can I get some screenshots?Sure! Check out the screenshots page. What are the system requirements?
I'm trying to keep the requirements low and lightweight. You will need a wireless data plan or some other connectivity (Bluetooth tunneling etc.) All currently known Treo models should work fine. Other PalmOS 5 devices ought to work (in theory, and if they have data connectivity) but I haven't tested any of them yet. Can I develop a game for wifight?I'm planning on maybe making wifight game dev open to third parties at some point. If you're interested in developing games for wifight, you can check out the page on scripting. Note that it is still totally pre-alpha etc etc.
